Cycle Hire in London is at a record high due to the January 2017 Tube Strike.
Many tube commuters have had to find transport through other means such as: the bus, cycling, walking or driving. As a result, Transport for London have reported a 149% rise in the amount of cycle hires in London.
The next strike will being tonight as some trains will finish an hour earlier than usual and tomorrow, Thursday the 26th of January, the Waterloo, City and Central line will have little to no service. With a city that experiences complete gridlock of cars, taxis and buses, and trains, that are overcrowded when all the lines are running, grabbing a bike seems like the best option to get to work on time.
On the bright side of things, you might end up loving the cycle to work as research shows that cyclists are the happiest commuters.
